The Santa Cruz x Pokémon Trading Card Game skateboards launch worldwide on Saturday 17 October 2026 at 2pm UK time. There are 30 deck designs, each using the original art from a real Pokémon TCG card, plus 3 gold chase decks. Every deck comes in a sealed blind bag, so you won't know which one you've got until you open it.
This is the second Santa Cruz x Pokémon drop, after the first one in 2023. This one marks 30 years of the Pokémon TCG, and Santa Cruz says it's the first time Pokémon TCG card art has been used on a skateboard.
It's a range of skateboard decks, apparel and griptape from Santa Cruz Skateboards and the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Each deck takes a well-known Pokémon card and sets the original card art into a new Santa Cruz graphic, with details like the card's Energy type worked into the design.
The 30 cards cover the whole history of the game, from the 1999 Base Set Charizard, Blastoise and Venusaur to recent Scarlet & Violet cards like Pikachu ex and Iono's Bellibolt ex.
The drop goes live worldwide on Saturday 17 October 2026, at the same moment everywhere:
| Where | Release time |
|---|---|
| UK | 2pm (BST) |
| Central Europe | 3pm (CEST) |
| US East Coast | 9am (ET) |
| US West Coast | 6am (PT) |
At Skatewarehouse, the blind bags go live on our Santa Cruz x Pokémon page at 2pm UK time. 17 October is a Saturday, so launch-day orders are processed and sent on the next working day, Monday 19 October.
Each sealed bag holds one 8" deck, picked at random from the 30 designs and 3 chase variants. You can't choose which one you get. It works like opening a booster pack.
Every bag also has a Limited Edition Pokémon Player's Guide booklet. It shows all 30 deck designs and the 3 chase variants, so you can see what you've pulled and what's left to collect.
There's no Pokémon card in the bag. The packaging says "Pokémon Trading Card not included".

The 30 decks pick cards from every major era of the Pokémon TCG:
| Card era | Cards on the decks |
|---|---|
| Wizards of the Coast era | Charizard, Blastoise and Venusaur (Base Set), Flareon (Jungle), Dark Espeon (Neo Destiny) |
| EX era | Rocket's Mewtwo ex, Jolteon ex, Rayquaza ☆ (Gold Star), Flygon δ (Delta Species) |

| Scarlet & Violet | Mew ex, Eevee, Pikachu ex, Dragapult ex, Iono's Bellibolt ex |
Eevee fans do well out of this one. Eevee and all eight of its evolutions are in the set: Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon and Sylveon. Charizard turns up three times, on the Base Set card and both Mega Charizard EX cards, and the two Mega Charizard decks carry the Santa Cruz logo in Japanese.

The gold chase decks are 3 rare extras on top of the 30 main designs. They're printed in glitter gold foil, and each one shows a collage of cards from Pokémon TCG releases around the world. Santa Cruz has limited each chase deck to 500 worldwide, which makes 1,500 in total.
They come in the same blind bags as the main 30. Santa Cruz hasn't published the odds of pulling one.
Every deck in the range is 8" wide and 31.6" long. 8 inches is the width we'd suggest for most teenagers and new full-size riders anyway, so it's a good all-round size if you want to set one up and ride it.
Plenty of people keep theirs sealed. If you want to skate yours, it comes as a deck only. You'll need:
A skateboard truck kit is the easiest way to get trucks, wheels, bearings and hardware in one go. Everything else is in skateboard parts and hardware and grip tape.
Yes. The collection includes apparel and griptape as well as decks. Pieces shown so far include a hoodie with the Santa Cruz Screaming Hand holding a Pokémon card, a T-shirt with the Santa Cruz Dot surrounded by artwork for the TCG's Energy types, and a cap with a round patch.
Any Santa Cruz x Pokémon apparel we get in will go on the collection page. For the rest of the range, see our Santa Cruz clothing and Santa Cruz skateboards.
Santa Cruz and Pokémon first teamed up in September 2023. That drop also came in blind bags, but the decks showed Pokémon characters on Santa Cruz graphics rather than real card art. The 2023 decks are no longer available from us.
